Do chickens even have tongues? Anyway I can totally see why some people don't like it. Sort of like escargot or sea urchin, it looks yucky.

I won't be able to update this thread until next week because I'm going on a trip!

I recall it being chicken tongue; maybe it was some other tongue. I remember him ordering toes aswell of some animal which is weird.

Might be duck tongue... I think thats a popular dish in China.

I'm surprised no one has brought up deep fried mincemeat dumplings (hom sui gok), they are so good...

turnip cake goes with chilli sauce best imo and that is generally what people ate it with in guangdong (canton). I never saw frog legs once in hundreds of times eating yum cha in china.

However if you like frogs nothing beats Sichaun fried frogs in hot chilli hotpot.
