Both the "jumping into a guy to draw contact" move and the flop really hurt the team when the call isn't made. There's no reason to punish offenders, if the refs just stopped bailing out the Spurs every goddamn time one of them falls down the Spurs would have to choose between their love of falling down and winning.

I don't understand the push to crack down on floppers, there's a much easier solution: the referees doing their goddamn jobs.

Exactly, just ignore it, and let the ball handler take his open shot/drive.

What are everyone's thoughts on like, legitimately taking a charge? Getting in front of a guy, setting your feet, and taking the bump?

Varejao needs a date with a burning grease fire as far as I'm concerned.

Theres nothing wrong with setting your feet and taking a charge IMO. Its these charges on the low block that I find ridiculous. I mean how can guys like Varejao, Oberto, etc just fall to the ground on any contact? Its sad and bad for the game IMO. Shaq is def not a HOFer if calls had been like this throughout his career, he might not even be an AS.

That's fine. Varejao actually took a nice one from Delfino this game.

It's annoying overall, but only really so when repeatedly abused.
