Default NBA flops

Sadly, teams like the Spurs and Cavs make this question necessary...

Not nearly as egregious as when an offensive player blatantly chucks up a shot trying to draw contact.

This should be grounds for stoning.

dms,

Do you also have a problem with baseball catchers "framing" pitches? What about NFL RBs who clearly stretch the ball forward after they were already down to hopefully get a better spot? I could go on and on...point is that all athletes try to influence the refs. Thats what makes reffing such a tough job.

Both the "jumping into a guy to draw contact" move and the flop really hurt the team when the call isn't made. There's no reason to punish offenders, if the refs just stopped bailing out the Spurs every goddamn time one of them falls down the Spurs would have to choose between their love of falling down and winning.

I don't understand the push to crack down on floppers, there's a much easier solution: the referees doing their goddamn jobs.

Gibson had a D- flop on Rip tonight that got called, you could tell by his goofy little grin that he got away with one. Although he did make the shot, which was tough.

Varejao needs a date with a burning grease fire as far as I'm concerned.
