and on the issue of bank roll- i was moving up when i had 9 buy ins... probably a bit too agressive... and i deposited 150, moved it up to 500, then when i got to 900 strtd on 0.5/1.... admittedly i have been playing A LOT of hours... and running good, in previous attempts its taken far longer.... would you suggest going by 20 buy ins?

I think 20 buy ins is a safer way to play online just because I find it annoying to get money online. because if you do drop down really low you might get affected psychologically. like having 1k today then seeing 200 on the screen the next day is depressing. just remember to not let your ego get in the way of playing. If your bankroll drops, go to the stakes where you arent at risk to going broke after a couple of beats.

Well, for starters, there are about a million+ threads in this and other forums about bankroll management. Try this one first.

I found it in the SSNL Master Sticky - ALL POSTERS MUST READ

I think your biggest problem is not understanding and applying good BR management. Even if you are great, there will be variance. You need to be able to have the BR to cover that variance without changing what is otherwise a +EV (I hope) style of play.

Second, never move up after big loses. Always move down and grind your way back up to where you were.
