This is the key thing.

Certainly there are times where getting to showdown is a primary objective. I dont believe this to be one of them.

It is difficult to accumulate chips if we pass up spots to bet/raise for value because we are afraid of being blown off by a push.

The times we save chips against AQ/straight is easilly offset by the times villian shows down Ax or worse 2p and would have put more chips in the pot.

I agree with this but certainly just calling isn't horrible.

Without a read or something else to further narrow villian's range, I think I disagree.
