Default Getting DivX to work with Camtasia or CamStudio or an alternative

Hey.

I can't get the DivX codec to work with either camtasia or camstudio. I either get the error 'Unable to write to AVI file frame' or 'Can't record with your current codec option'. It will however work when i record a very small region. FWIW i def have enough file space.

Anyone any ideas how to get past this? Or are there any other codecs that are close to as good as DivX that i could install use?

I would recommend creating it with some other random compressor that works, then compressing it with Xvid/Divx.
AutoGK is usually used to create Xvid/Divx files from other types (DVDs, other avi files):
