Default Len Bias

but I feel these tidbits need to be shared, and I know there has got to be an audience. This thread involves Len Bias and his former high school classmates+ someone who is HUGE in Washington D.C. history...background to follow

Disclaimer: I love Len Bias and truly felt he would have been one of the true greats. I love Maryland basketball, as my Grandfather played Football and Basketball for them (averaged a double double when that wasn't too common) before he went to the Pacific Theater during WWII for the Marines. But I feel as if his story can serve as a real story as to why players these days should work really hard to be straight edged.

If interest is shown, then I will continue. I'm not trying to be an attention whore, but I see Celtics fans commenting on the thread above, and it makes me wonder why people dont ask about this... I'm pretty drunk so one the one hand I don't want to sell out Lenny but I'm fairly sure people on this board aren't from the DC area long enough to know anything about this

i'm a little young, I was only 5 or 6 when the Len Bias thing happened. But spill the beans anyway. I'm going to bed now, though. Wait 'til you sober up. Don't go saying things that are best left unsaid.

I was 4 months old when Lenny died, but if you feel like something shouldn't be said then by all means PM me and tell me.

I don't think you're being vague enough.

Anyway, I heard that Len Bias died of a cocaine overdose. Confirm/deny.

Also, I heard that if you rearrange the letters in "Len Bias" they spell "lesbian". Thoughts?

The Celtics gossip in this thread is pathetic. So, I'll provide some.

Back in the early '80s, my father was a furniture mover. One day, he moved Robert Parish's stuff and Parish stiffed the whole moving crew. After many hours of work, nobody got tipped at all.

Now, that's some great gossip. I bet Double-Zero really regrets that stiffing now.
