Re: Cab / Limo at LV airport.
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'm going to be landing around 1030pm on a Saturday in a month. I plan on checking in at the airport at MGM Grand. I believe they have a shuttle to take me to the hotel. Am I correct to think this is the best way for me to get to the hotel? [/ QUOTE ] Wrong. MGM does NOT have a shuttle. Sorry. 100% correct. You'll get there in less than half the time as it would take waiting for a cab since MGM is one of the first stops for the shuttles. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] First, bad quoting, second, WRONG there is a shuttle. There are tons of shuttle services outside the airport for 5 bucks a piece and they do in fact go to any strip/downtown casino you wish. That's what people mean by "The shuttle". There are probably half a dozen companies out there. They are located at the opposite side of baggage claim from the cabs. |

Re: Cab / Limo at LV airport.
I think the question is, does the MGM run it's own special shuttle to/from the airport?
I am unaware of any such special MGM shuttle service. If you're a high-roller you can get an MGM limo to come pick you up and stand there with the "SMITH" sign. Otherwise, I think it's public transportation. So when Photoc says "yes there's a shuttle" he's pointing at the generic shuttle companies. When Cactus says "no" he's saying MGM runs no private shuttle. Punk: What'd you find on the MGM website that suggests they have a private airport shuttle? |

Re: Cab / Limo at LV airport.
On the MGM Grand website, under Amenities and Airport Check in, I guess I just assumed when they say "Shuttle Service" that it was a "MGM Shuttle Service". The actual wording is...
[ QUOTE ] Shuttle Service Individual shuttle and porterage service is available and may be booked at time of room registration from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. [/ QUOTE ] I won't get in until 1030pm or so anyways, so I guess I'll just use one of the generic shuttle services. |

Re: Cab / Limo at LV airport.
AT that time, to the MGM, you should be there in 15 minutes or less. MGM is usually the first drop.
Bav's right, at least what I meant. Strip hotels have no shuttle bus service. MGM properties do have their own limos. Bell handles all Harrahs properties limos. I'm driving a limo for the Rio all weekend. I guess I should know as this is what I do to keep the roof over my head. |
