So perhaps the number of lost players by taking away from the SN's to give to the SN+'s woudln't be too significant.

[/ QUOTE ]

Clearly though while it’s important to keep current fewer than 2 or 300k SNs playing it's just as or perhaps more important to continue to attract new players who want to try and shoot for 100k. It’s an aspirational thing which as I see it has always been the core philosophy of the VIP program – otherwise they’d just offer straight rakeback.

Would it change anything if Supernova+ was at 800k instead of 750k?

------Players who are reaching 750k+ VPP are paying A TON more rake than the 100K VPP guys

Per person they are but not as a total.

-------Scottyy, can this idea be considered?

Cutting the rewards for 1000s in favor of 100 players isn't the direction we had in mind.

I'll never in a million years reach much over 200K points a year as I have other more pressing commitments but I do think the SN plus level is a good one as far as ramping up the multiplier. It seems strange to have a jump at 100K but then you have to get 900K more points to get another jump in the multiplier. But that's fine, Elite is Elite.

Other than that, I think everything is fine the way it is. If anything they should focus more on perks for the lower tier players. Losing a few of the 12 tabling hudbots will hurt Stars a lot less than losing thousands of fish, not to mention making the games better. I'd rather have more fish at my tables than more points in my account. Poker is the #1 reason I'm at Stars, everything else is just a bonus.

Say you get to exactly 1,000,000 VPPs in 2007 to make SNE. In 2008, do your VPPs reset with respect to the milestones or is it a cumulative thing? In other words, when I hit 250,000 VPPs in 2008 (assuming I've maintained SNE status), will I get the 10K bonus for SNE or the 2K bonus for SN (at 200,000 VPPs?

Thanks and sorry if this has been asked a million times.

Then why do you have Supernova Elite?

Wouldn't that money be better spread out amongst the thousands of Supernovas?

Seems like a bit of a contradiction IMO.

VPPs reset at the end of the year so no you don't get the milestones.

We didn't cut from the Supernova budget to add Supernova Elite rewards. Maybe I misunderstood your post. I thought you wanted to use the $50k weekly money, that 1000s of players benefit from and give most of it to 100 players.

Only some of it.

Out of curiosity, how many players do you think will fall in the 750k-1m range this year without making Elite?

Guessing 40, hard to say with so many people putting in a late rush of play.

What if (this is me talking crazy, please don't expect this to happen) 750k VPP milestone was a choice between $7500 bonus or PCA Package

Would this make 750k a lot more attractive?

What if (crazy talk again) the $50K weeklies were replaced with a once a month drawing for $250,000 for all players that earned 10,000 VPPs the month before. 1000 places paid.

Would you like this more, less or don't care?
