Re: Asking LAGs for help....
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Lags just call preflop and then get aggressive when they hit. or sometimes when they miss. [/ QUOTE ] Um, what? This is not true at all. One thing I need to work on is my play against good LAGs, so what I want to know from the good 2+2 LAGs is...how often are you double/triple barreling into TAGs? sLAGs? Fish? Unknowns? On what types of boards do you like double/triple barreling with air? [/ QUOTE ] When I think of LAG's I think of 40-70/4-10/1-4 You cannot tell me that person is not doing a whole lot of calling preflop. If they do a whole lot of raising preflop They are a Maniac. |

Re: Asking LAGs for help....
I only play suited connectors if:
1) I am the aggressor preflop. or 2) I am in position. Although occasionally if someone raises and gets 2-3 callers inbetween I'll call from the BB to try to flop big because the odds are pretty good. |

Re: Asking LAGs for help....
[ QUOTE ]
how often are you double/triple barreling into TAGs? sLAGs? Fish? Unknowns? [/ QUOTE ] unknowns- never. Fish- depends on fish type, but double/tripple barreling with air into a calling station isn't the way to make money sLAGS- often double barreling the floaty type TAGs- depends on my table image, but I'll relentlessly hammer them. Bad TAGs are favorite opponent, really, since they will usually raise you and tell you that they have a hand on most boards for fear of giving the free card. Raise or fold players make the game easy. Depending on pot size, board, and stacks, a 3-barrel bluff here is definately an option. Good LAGs I avoid if possible. Sucessful LAG play depends on being able to tell when someone has a hand (because they play back) and letting go of a move, and getting paid off on big hands because of image. Against a good LAG, hard to tell if they are playing back because they have a hand or because they know that with your range it's likely that you don't have one. They also don't pay off as much when you have a monster. I'm not a total LAG myself, but I like to use the style when appropriate. Bad LAGs can't change up, they just use the same style at all tables. LAGing it up at NL50 with 3 calling stations at your table is like lighting money and setting it on fire. |
