Top Chef Finale
I propose this simple question to oot: who shall win?
I think that Dale is going to be knocked out first simply because he snuck in the last three and is constantly forgetting parts of his dish or doing stuff wrong. Also he has not had the sucess and good praise from the judges that Hung and Casey have both had. I think that if Hung can think of some more homely and more comforting dishes to compliment his technical skill. It seems like Casey puts more heart into her food and wows the judges with her flavors rather than form. |

Re: Top Chef Finale
I think that if Casey doesn't [censored] up, they will give it to her because people like her more and they want to have a female winner.

Sweet an early thread in which people can post stupid conspiracy theories!
Pretty sure whoever cooks the best will win! |

Re: Top Chef Finale
Like everyone has said, Hung is the classic runner up. In that respect, I'd favor Casey. But Hung has enormous potential, and Dale does too if last week was any indication, so I think this is actually a bit of a close one.

Pretty much all gameshows like this say explicitly that the producers have a say in the outcome. If Dale screws up and Casey and Hung both make relatively equal strength foods, do you really think Hung will win? |

[/ QUOTE ] No - all competitive reality shows try to at least preserve the illusion that it's fair. Do you see why? I bet you also think Idol is rigged. -Al |

I don't think Idol is rigged.
I don't think Top Chef is rigged. I just think that the producers prefer to keep in a broad range of people so a wider audience can relate to contestants. And I think they prefer when someone who a large demographic can relate to, wins. |

I believe Hung is the best chef, I believe Hung will perform the best, and I believe Hung will win.
But I miss Howie. |

Re: Top Chef Finale
I think it is definitely between Hung and Casey. I hope Casey wins, only because I think she is a better person than Hung.
I do think that Hung is probably the best chef left. I'm interested to see what he will be able to do once he is allowed to cook whatever he wants with no restrictions. I'm getting sick on the stupid challenges that they have been giving these chefs. I would rather see them bring their A game and make the best possible meals unrestricted every week rather than the 20 minutes, $15, a camp stove, and only use dog meat to feed 75 people. But that probably doesn't make as good of TV. Also, for anyone that doesn't know, on Bravo's website they have blogs from several of the rotating judges. Anthony Bourdain is awesome, hilarious, and insightful every week. http://www.bravotv.com/blog/topchef |
