This hand is difficult to play/analyze against a villian we're familiar with. Against a seemingly unknown player, I don't get why we need to 3 bet this light OOP. If he calls, we have no idea what his range might be or how he plays post flop.

Far more likely he makes a crying call with a pair < K than that he turns a pair into a bluff, and there are not many busted draws in his range that:

a) don't raise flop
b) don't bluff turn when you check
c) didn't hit on this river card

Yeah I prefer a bet/fold over a check/call. Also don't like preflop.

I kinda like a b/f better than a c/c on the river unless you have reason to suspect he's gonna be bluff-shoving with any frequency. I think the flop/turn lines are OK.

Anyone think that bet/folding the turn has any value, or does that just leave us in too many [censored] spots on the river when called? It's a little thin, but I think it's not too too bad.

Not so sure its pretty vulnerable, and when we induce a bet by checking we will be in limbo.

I'm not sure we are ahead very often on the river, although probably have the 33ish% needed.

even though hes a habitual btn raiser this is not the hand i want to 3b him with OOP. flopping a king doesnt secure us with a good hand and gets us in this sticky spot. id much rather wait for small suited connectors or a good hand with alot of value. this is very spewy imo.

as played i think it is fine, but 18 on flop.
