Default complete spew?

1/2 8 handed i was new to the game so i had no reads on villian everyone folds to me in CO i raise with A9o button smooth calls blinds both fold
8 10 J i lead button calls
8 10 J A i check raise he three bets i cap
8 10 J A 4 i bet he calls
showdown
A Q villian
A 9 hero

was this a lead/call on turn? call river? or was the check raise ok? i thought when he three bet he could have a number of draws and was looking to semi bluff and take control if he missed

you are way overthinking what a 1/2 player does here. If he was any good you would have been 3 bet preflop.

On the turn you can't get frisky because your high number of outs means you need to call any raise plus you really do want to see a showdown. Putting in additional raises with a medium ace doesn't make sense here.

Villain isn't flatcalling the flop and bet-3betting the turn with a draw, it just doesn't make sense.

I'd lead the turn in your hand, and if he raised I'd just call down.

If I improved on the river I'd just bet out.

Don't post results on hands, it dissuades our logic.

Good luck to you, hope you enjoy 2p2

I used to always wonder why my opponents would pull such move (like your turn cap with a weak hand). Is this something like "my balls are bigger than yours and I will not be reraised" kind of thing?

Yes, it is spew - even against a total maniac that plays any two cards.
