I would have made a big raise on the flop. I don't like to check-raise on the turn, but its not horrible. This kinda seems like a case of fancy-play syndrome; I don't like to give them odds to draw out on me if they don't have a made flush.

I lead out for 100 on the flop like you did, then 3 bet to 700. I lead the turn for 500, as played get it in. Raising with 66 pf is bad imho.
