Anyone saying check behind on the river, please explain why because I don't get it - particularly when we have 2pr which criples their set range and a str8 is unlikely.

[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe I'm wrong. My logic is like this. Villain has an overpair/bluffcatcher. What bluff can we possibly have that didn't get there? He beats complete air that decided to raise flop and fire turn and river. I just don't see how villain can call with his overpair, and the tiny amount of the time he has a flush we get owned.

Looks good, without reads I'd fold to river shove.

Also, if he's aggro at all, a ton of players will just try to make you fold AK and raise the turn here with a FD, so fwiw, I think he's more likely to have a set / overpair

AK. Who plays preflop and flop like this with AK? Why should villain put us on air? We have the best hand, I agree. But how is he supposed to call with his overpair? By putting us on AK?

I think bet an amount he will call with QQ-AA with.
I don't quite know what that amount is though.

I'm in the "betting this river sucks" camp. A half-way decent player is folding his one-pair hand here. We aren't getting value from much of anything, and we open ourselves up to a check-raise.
