Default AQo UI

No particular reads on the villain other than PT had him at:

44/0/.5 after 10 hands (so no real reads)

Full Tilt Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $0.25/$0.5
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $18.15
Mattnxtc: $15.20
Button: $16.20
SB: $8.20
BB: $10.80

Pre-flop: (5 players) Mattnxtc is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, Mattnxtc raises, 2 folds, BB calls.

Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4.4SB, 2 players)
BB bets, Mattnxtc raises, BB calls.

Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4.2BB, 2 players)
BB checks, Mattnxtc ???

And whats my plan for the river??

Why are you raising the flop?

If you raised for a free card, there shouldnt be a question mark regarding your turn play.

If you didnt raise for a free card you should raise the flop unless you have seen him donk/fold these kind of flops.

Peel flop and make a decision on the turn. If the turn bricks of I am peeling on more. If the river bricks of again I am seeing a SD to make a note not expecting the call to be +EV.

Raised the flop b/c of position and it seems like the cool new thing at these low limits is to donk out flops. I wanted to see what kind of strength he had. (Not as much trickery at the low limits).

I did take the free card on the turn, but didnt want to put the action.

River action:

BB checks, I check??

If you could see his cards and you knew he had air. Would you still raise?

I have no idea why people keep quoting "he has air a lot" as a reason to raise a marginal hand with marginal SD value.

I know i said you can raise this flop if you have seen him donk/fold. But I have to disagree with my self here.

In general in small pots when you suspect people bluff fairly often you shouldnt raise. You should just call and let them barrel off.

If he has Ax or some dome crap you dont want him to stop his bluff.

If he is ahead you obviously dont want to raise.

Raising flop donks with A high is one of the biggest leaks I notice people have

Oh, and check the river

I wouldnt raise any flop.

But I think a case can be made for raising for a free card here if we had a good idea that his flop donk would often be a pp or 2nd or 3'rd pair.

But we need to be pretty sure he wont "double donk"

say you raise UTG with AKo, get a cold caller behind you, and both blinds come along

on a 388 flop the BB leads into you and you think he is FOS some of the time. the pot is big enough that you would rather raise to fold out the CO and SB than have them come along with what may be 12 combined outs

Yeah multiway you can occasionally raise A high to protect your hand when you know the flop donk is often BS
