Um no

He was crushing Martin, winning the first 2 rounds (1st is obv 9-9 because of the fence grab, but 10-9 Leben otherwise) decisively - landed good punches, lots of leg kicks, and his footstomps in the clinch were solid - and then there was the triangle at the end of the 2nd (he was very active off the bottom the whole fight btw, and was winning all the ground exchanges).

Sure he had just been rocked by a huge punch from Martin who hits very hard, but he went right after him and KO'ed him with a perfect shot. Luck had nothing to do with it.

Oh, and I [censored] hate Chris Leben.

On another note, why can't MMA fighters seem to be able to check leg kicks? They have become such a huge part of the game that defense should be mandatory before getting in the ring, yet in 3 different fights you saw one (or both) fighters teeing off with leg kicks and no defense offered by their opponent.

It's hard to defend them if they are properly thrown with punches. but you are right, people were just camping outside and leg kicking. Partly poor training, partly bad cardio if it happens in later rounds... the first thing to go when gassed is your foot speed. but yeah, train for the damn kicks morans.

I've been told it takes quite a bit of practice to get good at leg kicks, and as much or more to get used to checking them without getting pwned. Given that they aren't generally fighting against people with good leg kicks, it might not be worth their time to train it relative to other areas.

Sell took a ton of leg kicks from Quarry. If Quarry had been throwing them properly, Sell would have been toast by the end of the first round. See crocop vs Yoshida. Of course crocop has massive legs too.

It's too bad about Martin. We already know Leben isn't good enough to be a top contender, I was hoping that Martin would turn into a top middleweight. The Thomas/Florian fight was somewhat disappointing. I think they match up really well, if not for the injury.

In other news Cole Miller picked up a nice win.

...

was referring to your crush..

given the roundness, it's highly unlikely she'll fit into pockets of any type..

Its a line from a rap song mainly espousing the viewpoint:

1) Something is yours.
2) I want that something.
3) Give it to me, lest I seize it from you.

She's has dropped down a few points due to being unengaged. Whatev I'd still hit it.
