Default I love AJo =]

So I'm in the BB at a live 3/6 table populated mostly with old farts and a younger guy in MP who seems to like to mix it up, but is getting very frustrated with being outdrawn relentlessly. He just got sucked out on again and goes for the wallet. This hand came next:

MP calls, three other old guys call, I tap the table with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. The flop comes

6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I check, MP bets, two folds, a not so farty middle aged guy on the button calls, I call.
Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I check, MP bets, button calls, I c/r, both call.
River: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
What am I doing here, and why?

Why would you not bet?

They're checking an Ace.

Betting, and I'm not sure I see a need to explain why.

I'd bet/3bet this flop.

As played the turn c/r is fine.

River is an easy bet. You want to sexy it? Doubt it will work, just get some value from 2 people. Too big a waste if they both check.

Betting this river is doubleplusstandard.

Hey Count, were you just foregoing the bet on the flop to try and exploit your big hand on the turn for C/R-bigger bets or? Just wondering.

Okay, I guess I was looking to see what you guys thought about checking the flop and turn. With the rainbow board I felt fine with checking, as I was about 70% sure that betting out would scare off my customers, and I wanted them to catch up a little on the turn so I could sexy 'em up.

Yes Frond that is exactly what I was doing. With the rainbow I felt okay with sandbagging. I normally hit the pedal with TTP because I had a run of 9 or 10 consecutive TTP flops losing at the river.. but I didn't want to scare off my customers, and felt like letting them catch up a little would be an acceptable risk given the board.

So you correctly identified the issue I wanted to discuss. TTP has been a problem situation for me (and others I'm sure) because there's always the danger of being outdrawn. So your thoughts are welcome about how to manage that situation.
