Default Canterbury15/30, 30/60 rake?

Have not been there all summer. Was just talking to someone on the phone whos says they have jacked the rake. What is the rake and are these tables now jackpot eligible?

Thanks, Dave

Rake is same, but both are jp eligible. Dollar drop. Rake is 5max on lower tables though.

I was just there, for the first time as it turns out, on Friday 9/28 and the rake was a max of $5, $1 for the jackpot. The regulars were talking how it was just a recent change.

15/30 & 30/60 still have a $4 rake, but they have added the j/p drop. This was requested, believe it or not, by the players. Bleh.

The rake at all other limits, as has been posted here before, is now $5. Expect that the 15/30 & 30/60 rakes will also go to $5 in the future.

I was there a couple of times this week -- first time I saw the new Rake for 4-8, which I usually play. I thought the dealer were saying it had gone up for the higher stakes games -- though maybe they were just confirming that it was expected to happen.

At the risk of hijacking the thread -- anyone have any thoughts as to whether 4-8 or 6-12 are beatable with this structure? I've given up on 3-6, in part because of this.

6/12 is 5% up to $5, so only about 20-25 hands per hour seeing the extra dollar. For full ring (9), something like $2-$2.50/hr per person. So if your win rate is <$2.50/h then you can't win. Does mean if you play 25h/week, you are throwing away the first rack of chips each month compared to the $4 rake.

I did hear that they upped the comp rate something like $0.25/h.

I play mostly 6/12 but also some 8/16 and I will definitely not be playing shorthanded anymore with that rake.

Will the floors at CP decrease the rake if you are playing short?
How many playing at the table (6,7) to get the rake cut?
Thanks

Yeah they will cut rake all the way down to a dollar. I think 5 starts it though.

The dealers reduce the rake automatically. You play short there, apparently care about the rake, and haven't noticed this? I'm pretty sure they reduce it at six players for flop games.
