Default Tunica this weekend!

Guys:

Buddy of mine and I are heading to Tunica this weekend...staying at the Gold Strike from Thursday through Sunday. We're looking for a comprehensive list of hot spots, things to do, things that must be seen, best restaurants, etc.

Obviously, I'm sure there are tons of site with this info..but I prefer personal feedback, especially from fellow degenerates.

So, if you were me..what would you DEFINITELY do, where would you DEFINITELY go, what would you absolutely AVOID...

Many thanks for any feedback you can provide!

If you're going to party you'll have to go 30 min north to Memphis. If you're going to play a tourney Sam's Town has a $130 entry 3k added at 11am.

If you're going to shop and enjoy the scenery I feel sorry for you.

hahah....spot on. The only thing Ill add, is that if you want to hit on some 60 year olds, it should be fairly easy.

I disagree, Tunica is awesome. But Tunica is basically a place where if you want to do something other than gamble, play golf, or hang out drinking.

If you a Vegas type experience of shopping and great clubs then you're out of luck.

If you are "propositioned" by some of the ladies...be careful...local law enforcement likes to conduct stings.

There's multiple posts on the action in Tunica in the B&M Forum.

As far as partying, some of the casinos have "lounge acts" (mostly bands) in or around the bars that are sometimes pretty good if you want to get away from the tables for a while.

Most of the steakhouses at the casinos are pretty damn good. Nawlins at the 'Shoe is very good. The Atrium Cafe at the Goldstrike is not bad at all. The buffets are kinda hit & miss. Most of the time lunch is pretty good, but dinner at the buffet is the lunch leftovers most of the time. The snack bar next to the poker room at the 'Shoe has some of the best "I'm drunk & got the munchies" food you ever ate.

Most of the hotel rooms are clean & adequate. You're not gonna be spending that much time in them anyway....I would suggest staying at the 'Shoe or Goldstrike so if you get tired at 3am, just go get on the elevator & go upstairs to bed.
