Squeezed ATs on the button... (200nl)
Both initial raiser and cold caller are pretty standard TAGs, UTG 18/16, MP 20/15, note that its 5 handed. My image at the table is very snug, Ive been fairly card dead for the 30 hands or so that Ive been at the table for.
Full Tilt Poker, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter BB: $200 UTG: $379.60 CO: $125.50 Hero (BTN): $254.70 SB: $65.05 Pre-Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN) <font color="red">UTG raises to $7</font>, CO calls $7, <font color="red">Hero raises to $31</font>, 2 folds, UTG calls $24, CO folds Flop: ($72) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) UTG checks, Hero checks Turn: ($72) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">UTG bets $50</font>, Hero calls $50 River: ($172) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">UTG bets $70</font> Weiiiird bet size, and fwiw he absolutely tanked and used 1/2 his time bank before betting. Comments on all streets plz, except preflop which im fine with sometimes. |

pf, flop and turn are fine. pretty weird river spot, logically i think he has it like 85%+ of the time but i prob still wouldn't fold to such a small bet

Re: Squeezed ATs on the button... (200nl)
I dont like to do this with a hand like this vs an utg 18/16 raiser esp not with a caller behind. I think ur dead here. I like flop and turn, but river spot really sucks

Re: Squeezed ATs on the button... (200nl)
This spot kind of sucks
It looks like he either trying to get value from an undpair like queens or jacks or blocking with an underpair. Probably the former a lot more often than the latter. Probably a fold, I doubt he shows up with QQ here often enough. |

Re: Squeezed ATs on the button... (200nl)
I hate preflop. You build a nice pot for someone who has your ace dominated. You also risk a 4 bet and be forced to fold a hand that still has equity in the hand. UTGs range really isn't that wide. If UTG were a 32/25 or something, I like it a lot more.
Because of all this, I don't know how to play this post flop. He's probably betting his big aces on the turn, and a king. He might fire with a low pkt pair, but I don't know how often. |

I like preflop, just not against UTG raising TAG's who are 18/16!

Re: Squeezed ATs on the button... (200nl)
ok I personally have a pfr of 16 and my opening range UTG 5 handed is very wide, I dont think preflop is really an issue.
