As played, you think im good on river 1 in 6? I really don't think he HAS to have a diamond here. |

Re: 55s post flop ak
Bet 350 or so on that flop, I can't imagine any reason to check it acting last, giving a free card here is a really really bad idea. As played, raise the turn for the same reason. As played, call on the river, I guess, who knows.

i disagree [/ QUOTE ] As a noob, you might want to give reasons why you disagree, or you may just want to be quiet and listen, but it's your choice how to participate, I guess. |

Re: 55s post flop ak
Not betting this flop is horrible, IMO. You've got top 2, no reason whatsoever to let a lone diamond draw for free.

Re: 55s post flop ak
You have to bet the flop. Not the best flop for AK, but you still have top two.
As played I raise turn for value, bet a non-diamond\JT river for value. |

Re: 55s post flop ak
I'm betting that flop like 100% of the time. You have a vulnerable made hand that's likely best at the moment. Make drawing unprofitable for your opponents.

Re: 55s post flop ak
hah sorry mister high and mighty that I don't have a super high post count, I prefer to lurk. My reply was mostly in response to the equally short reply of eagles. Anyway, going back to the original hand, I think that by betting out we put ourselves into a situation where we have to fold the majority of the time best hand to anyone that wants to get frisky w/ any a,k,q with a diamond or just the J or T of diamonds. Checking behind also lets us control the pot. I think as played I def should have raised turn tho.

Re: 55s post flop ak
I bet the flop and I have no intention whatsoever of folding to a check-raise. I just don't think I'm beat almost ever even when check-raised.
