Maybe he's worried about two pair on the flop for some reason...I dunno...but he certainly doesn't think Hero is helped by the 3 on the turn, so why not push it in at this point? He doesn't cover by incredibly much more.

I'd fold despite the pot odds. Look at your read on him, you're beat and the chances of spiking a J don't make it worth it to call.

I'd say you're behind like 93% of the time.

check turn, reevaluate on river.
on river, if he bets, i guess a call is read dependent
if he checks, bet for value

It helps to include the sn when you are referring to regulars.
