Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t100/t200

Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t2010
UTG+1: t1880
MP1: t4880
CO: t1330
Button: t1550
SB: t3590
Hero: t4760

Pre-flop: (7 players) Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls t200 (pot was t300), 3 folds, SB calls t100 (pot was t500), Hero checks.

Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (t600, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t400, UTG+1 raises to t800, SB folds, Hero?

UTG+1 VPIP ~33 filtered. His 9.5BB open-limp is not necessarily a monster.

I guess I need to let this go. Do you like betting the flop?

I like it, but easy fold after the raise

Seems fine. I'm ok with the pf check. You're oop tho, so given your read, i'd prefer a pf push. His vpip suggests he's a horrible donk.

I like a push pf as well, SB is hardly ever calling it so you don't even really have to worry about him.

PF to 1K to look nice and strong, I am just squeamish about pushing with my stack + SB so big, but there really isn't anything wrong with that; [censored] it, just push. 88 is way to strong here PF given the situation to just check.

flop is OK, easy fold after min raise I think (slow played monsters, sets, overs to flush much larger part of range than 77).

push pre. I doubt SB limps anything here that can call a shove vs you (and be ahead), even like 99/TT/AQ cannot possibly call your shove here. I would like it a lot more if SB wasn't so deep but I think shoving is still the best here.

As played I think it is ok too. Both checking option and shoving pre are reasonable, though push might be slightly better.

just raise to 800 pre. pushing with 20bb at this point is not good imo.

I agree with PF push, your 88 is quite possibly good against the limper (and you probably have a surprising amount of fold equity against him), and SB is calling you pretty much never.
