golf picks for 6-15
it's u.s. open week! one of the best golf tournaments of the year. the thing about the u.s. open is that there's a ton of television coverage. on the weekends you can sweat the leaders for the entire round. so it is a great event for betting, especially if you have a few guys in the hunt.
last week erased almost all our winnings for the year. i went 2-2-1 in pga bets, but the ladies killed me at 0-4. so i'm not even going to look at lpga odds this week. <u>18-hole matchups:</u> goosen +150 over woods - 67 to win 100 (5dimes) <u>72-hole matchups:</u> scott -102 over donald - 102 to win 100 (pinnacle) toms -127 over harrington - 127 to win 100 (pinnacle) <u>props:</u> love to miss cut +216 - 46 to win 100 (pinnacle) ames make top ten +450 - 50 to win 225 (golfing gods) <u>outrights:</u> tiger woods to win +590 - 50 to win 295 (matchbook) vijay singh to win +1450 - 25 to win 363 (matchbook) best of luck in all your action ytd 13-12 +135

72-hole matchup: quigley -106 over pettersson - 106 to win 100 (pinny) donald top european +450 - 50 to win 225 (5dimes) immelman to make top ten +600 - 50 to win 300 (bowmans) (also, stephen ames top ten is +550 at bowmans)

just too good a number... late money coming in on woods at many books 1st round match: quigley -0.5 over estes +119 - 84 to win 100 (matchbook)

ugh, went 0-2 in 1st round matches. took a horrible beat when quigley triple bogeyed his last hole to lose what i thought was a lock vs. estes. also looked like tiger would lose, but he turned it around slightly. bleh.
i like one second round matchup on pinny. also, i will play ogilvy over howell if it gets to +120 or better. herron -105 over petterson - 105 to win 100 (pinnacle) driver, you could've gotten a lot better than even money on mickelson-woods, but it looks like a good bet now. i don't like betting on people like tim clark, since he has never won on the pga tour and choked at times. and since some people never change, they need to show me first.

had a so-so betting day on friday. i can't believe tiger misses the cut and i get great numbers against him, and they still lose. unbelievable. i have to think those were +ev bets though. seeing a few things for the third round, with most lines just going up:
donald +118 over els - 85 to win 100 (bowmans) ferrie +147 over stricker - 68 to win 100 (pinnacle)

went 2-0 on yesterday's picks. overall outlook for open is still up in the air really
4th round matchups: bryant -125 over ferrie - 125 to win 100 (bowmans) haas +175 over els - 57 to win 100 (pinnacle) montgomerie +159 over singh - 31 to win 100 (pinnacle) hedblom +126 over bryant - 40 to win 50 (pinnacle)
