$16: TT facing big preflop raise
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Button (t2125) SB (t1265) BB (t1335) UTG (t1430) MP1 (t1395) Hero (t1850) CO (t4100) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP1 raises to t400, Hero raises to t1850, 4 folds, MP1 calls t995 (All-In). I have trouble with this situation. I don't seem to have much fold equity against most villains here, and when called I usually find myself up against 88+ and various overs. Without a read on villain, what's my move? Get it in and hope for the best? |

Re: $16: TT facing big preflop raise
You have almost no FE here.
The push is good if his range roughly 10% or more (AT, A8s, KQs, 55+). Usually without reads at a $16, his range is roughly that so I think it does not really matter if you fold or push but I'd fold with your stack. If the raiser is a known donk this is an easy push. If it's a good player, it's an clear fold. |

Re: $16: TT facing big preflop raise
This is really read dependent IMO. Difficult for me to give some advice with reads here.
In general my impression is that a guy raising 4xBB in this spot is trying to make it easier for him to call an all-in and a 3xBB indicates the still want to have the option of folding without commiting to many chips. As mantioned, this is very general! |
