JJ v. lrr-ing idiot
villan is a tard. he's open limping and overly aggro. he pays off all sorts of hands and isn't smart. he called 2 streets with 2nd pair. hero should be relatively tight.
1/2 6max $200 effective PF: tard limps UTG, I raise J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] $10, all fold to tard who reraises to $26. I call $16. ($55)Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] villan bets $55, Hero calls $55. ($165) Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villan instachecks, Hero checks ($165) River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] villan instachecks, Hero... shove for value? i think his range is like...anywhere from 89s to stuff like 99 to like KK. |

Re: JJ v. lrr-ing idiot
Yeah I'd shove
And tbh I think this is one of those rare two-way spots. A villain lrring for value might fold KK and QQ here. A villain lrring because he's an idiot might call with any pair. Edit: after rereading description of villain I would tend to think of him as the latter |

[ QUOTE ]
he pays off all sorts of hands and isn't smart. he called 2 streets with 2nd pair. [/ QUOTE ] (I take it he called 2 streets with 2nd pair against another opponent - maybe a LAG or someone who he has some table history with.) Regardless, with the given info about villain and your tight image, I don't think he is going to call a shove with a worse hand than your Jacks. Someone who limps UTG and re-raises btf typically has something good, like AA/KK/QQ/AK. If he was holding KK/QQ, then maybe he froze up when that Ace hit the turn; but if he is holding AA/AK/AQ, then maybe he is waiting for you to take a stab at the pot so he can trap you. Last but not least, if he has a tendency to call with second-pair-type hands, then he could very well call your push holding KK/QQ despite the scary Ace on the board. I just don't see how pushing here can be a +EV move. I check behind. |

Re: JJ v. lrr-ing idiot
I don't get the river shove...I don't see a ton of hands he calls with that we beat...did everybody see that he limp/rred?
