Listen my OOTioTs, and you shall hear
Of the great gimmick uprising, 2005 was the year.

One gimmick said, “If the Greenies do ban us,
Anonymous or not,
They’ll not reduce us,
The gimmicks won’t rot.
We’ll send out the call,
To gimmicks far and wide,
They’ll come a runnin’,
We’ll never hide.”

Then the Mods they came,
Anonymous and bold.
We’re banning the lame ones,
The gimmicks were told.
The Greenies marched in,
And the purging began.
They locked accounts,
Many good gimmicks suffered the ban.

Oh but Gimmicks came a runnin’
From every forum there be.
They came from The Trainwreck.
They came from WPT.

They heard the call o’er the noise of The Zoo.
They came from Books and NVG too.
The gimmicks they came,
And poured into OOT.
Two more sprang up,
For each the Greenies did boot.

Oh you know the rest. The histories, you’ve read.
Of how the Greenies banned and then fled.
The gimmicks o’erwhelmed them.
They reproduced like rats.
The mods couldn’t ban fast enough.
They were stopped in their tracks.

So through the night posted every gimmick here;
A cry of defiance, and not of fear,
And so through the night went the cry of alarm
To every 2+2 gimmick in every forum.
A voice in the darkness, a knock at the door,
And a word that shall echo for evermore!
