I still remember tryouts for the travelling hockey team when I was about 14-15 years old. We were just warming up, taking shots on the goalie when probably the best player in town wound up and took a huge slapshot. It hit the goalie square in the nuts and shattered - shattered - his cup. He didn't get out of the fetal position for about 20 minutes. I think we were all pretty careful to be out of the way of any slapshots for the rest of that day.
