Against an unknown, is this a bluff often enough for a call to be profitable?

given how drawy the flop is id raise the donk bet. And as played i think you have to call the river.

My default is to raise here, but when people donk out they usually do not have much and I wanted to try and get some value out of him if hes bluffing.

your raising for value and protection...I almost guarantee if this guy has like a draw or weaker Qx hands he probably isnt foldin. Plus your hand isnt really that great and cant take a whole lot of heat on other streets.

Yea thats a good point, I guess I sometimes try to maximize value too much and end up costin myself some.

ya typically you max your value by raising your good hands than just callin down...unless you have a read that villian is an over aggro donk.

FWIW if board wasnt as drawy i dont mind a call quite as much tho.
