Vpip Meaning

your playing and player A has a vpip of 10, what does it mean to you and how differently do you play against him...

then what are the limits that make you play diffently ex: vpip 10 is the same as 15 16( hypothetically) but 19 20 is another thing and warrants a different strategy...same strategy until its 30 etc etc

there is a significant difference between a 20/18 and a 20/8. you need a combination of both.

There's a great post by pokey where he talks about "knowing thy numbers" It's in the SSNL Master Sticky I think but I've got it in my favourites at home, I'll post it tomoz.

Edit: OK I'm bored at work so I thought I'd do a quick search. This has helped me a lot with putting my opponents on hand ranges once I've got some HUD numbers on them. Linky
