Re: flop hypothetical
This is obv VERY opponent dependent but honestly close to equal frequency on all lines. It really depends on the past few pots i've played.
1. 3bet and bet the turn - I've been getting run over, folding a lot to 2bet streets. This is my default line i like the image it grants me. 2. 3bet and check the turn - I know he'll c/r any pair but i also know he's showing it down and won't fire 67/7T on the river. 3. call and raise the turn - done the 1st 2, they don't work. Dude is a bad TAG. 4. call flop and call turn - lolo you have a 9 always. Or lolo i have nothing always. Really just depends on the past few hands. |

Re: flop hypothetical
I mix up 1 and 4, depends on villain
I use 3 sometimes vs the right villain if I get a K/A turn |

Re: flop hypothetical
I do all of these with appreciable frequency. It really depends on the opponent, but I probably do 2 most of the time, followed by 1, then 3.
I will only call flop call turn against a complete psycho who will never fold anything, and may force me to fold the best hand, or a VERY straightforward and overaggressive player who will always have a good hand when he c/rs, and will not give me a free card. Against your standard too passive opponent we have enough pot equity the the free card is valuable, and we will get it often. Against your standard LAG we have enough pot equity that even a small amount of fold equity makes putting a raise in somewhere worth it. In a vacuum I think call/raise and 3bet/bet are pretty close, but 3bet/bet is an easier default strategy to implement game theoretically. |

I do 1/3/4 pretty often. I very rarely do 2 online. [/ QUOTE ] online i much prefer checking behind on the turn than live tho i havent played in cali too much. generally my vegas experience tells me that its never bad to barrell off with semibluffs. often i will see regs dump a middle pair by the river. online i find no one ever folds a pair. |
