I don't hate a c/f.

Too many players won't lay down 55-TT (99obv) or a 9 on this flop.

If you bet and get called by button are you jamming turn?

If not I just c/f.

Too many players for me to try to bluff em all out.

Regards,
Woodguy

True, but I'm weak tight in this situation.

Open fold pre-flop, check-fold flop. CO cold called 20% of his stack, I doubt you're ahead of his range pre-flop. If it were just him on the flop, you MIGHT have the equity to get it in, but with other callers as well, I think you're screwed.

no [censored]. and it's not a bluff either.

now that we've gotten that out of the way, does anyone's play differ here if they have 88 instead of 44

Generally speaking, open-raising small pairs in EP is chip-spewing agg, not bold agg, IMHO.

I agree with Woodguy's assessment only I would take it a step further and say if you are not willing to bet flop, push turn on this flop, you should fold preflop.

If you are willing to bet flop, push turn on this flop, you are going to lose a lot of chips when you are dealt small pairs in EP.

Later,
Che
