Default $5 Stars Floped set of 2s

I floped a set early in level 2 in a family pot. I like my bets on flop and turn, but I am open for suggestion. I am not sure about the river. Villain had ~800 left and the pot was 1200. I tought my hand was best so I wanted more chips in the middle. Wahat is my line?

Bet as much as you think will get called. There's no straight that got there that wasn't there before, and if you were beat by a set already then oh well. The river didn't change anything so you should still be ahead. Get maximum value.

So betting something like 300 seems to be right? That would leave him with 500 if he calls so he might call with TP/2P.

I don't really know what read you have on the guy, but you can probably get a tad more out of him. If he calls 300 he'll more than likely call 400. You don't want to shove him, but if you can leave him with a little over 400 chips he should be willing to call with a ten.

I bet 200 on the flop and about 2/3 pot on the turn as well, as played I push river.

At this buyin build the pot on the flop and push on the turn would have been better.

They normally call all the way to the river and then fold when they miss there 1 runner/runner out.

If they are going to call I belive they will call a push quicker then 200/300.
They see your push as an effort to steal the pot where as they are more wary of 200/300 bet on the river. I have seen them fold to a 30 bet here after calling 300/400 turn bets.
