Live buy in Amount

What would some of you stud savants say is an acceptable amount to buy in for at say stud hi 1/2 and 2/4 both live play? I may try some live stud this week. Thanks

$50 at 1/2 and $100 at 2/4 would be enough. More wouldnt hurt.

25-30 big bets is pretty standard.

I usually buy in with 25 BB and have more at the ready if possible. Where are you playing live $1/2?

Here in So Cal, Hawaiian Gardens casino. Played O8, LHE and NLHE there but thinking about trying out the 1-2 or the 2-4 stud they have there. They also hav a 3-6 stud8 game going ususally as well. Anyone here play stud there at all?
