Default Oats: Steel Cut vs. Rolled

I am sure I could find what I am looking for with a google search, but maybe a post here can be useful to others as well.

What are the benefits of steel cut oats vs. rolled oats.

I've always bought quaker rolled oats, but they have quaker steel cut on the shelf now (with a nice price markup).

I assumed steel cut were lower on the GI, but they are cut much smaller then rolled oats.

if you are concerned with keeping your intake of hi GI carbs (we all probably should be) and don't mind the extra cash buy them. some people swear by them, but in the whole scope of things i think it makes very little diff.

i am sure i just restate exactly what you thought, but i think it is true. on the health scale i think it is a very minimal play. later. J.
