Default The impact of this forum (NVG)

I am at my local card barn playing some 40/80 when regular begins to tell a story to another every day player.

The conversation went like this:

"So I have always wondered if there was cheating online and now I found it. I was on the phone with a buddy when he told me about a hand he saw online. Patrick Antonius shoved the river on a AAAA2 board with pocket 2s and got called by pocket 3s in a 500k pot."

Listener, "Wow, he had to know the other players cards, that's sick."

"Yeah, had to know, who calls with anything like that, online is so rigged."

I'm sitting there thinking that this has to be in NVG and has to be bull from an NVGtard and sure enough it is: See the spoof post here.

I was amazed at how fast and far this forum could reach.

I think this forum should accept some responsibility in doing its part to improve pokers position in the worlds eyes. allowing sarcasm to that extent has a negative influence.

Pretty much summed it up here, Mike.

Hope things are well,

Not bad.

But I can trump that. About a year or so ago, I got a guy on Myspace who had a big poker following (among donks) to
ban his loyal members and keep all the 2+2 infiltrators.

I won't mention his name. and I did it under a different 2+2 name here.

Basically what I did was set up a new account here with that guys name and posted drivel in his style. Then I went to his site and posted under the name Bill Berditzman. I told the guy about the imposter at 2+2. He came here and saw the imposter posts and the 2+2er's laughing about their troll posts at his site.

He went ballistic and canned the good members at his site and kept the 2+2ers
