Default Living in Australia!!

Hi I 25years old from Sweden who is spending the Swedish winter in Australia, Surfers Paradise playing poker full time. If there are any other members in Surfers paradise that is thirsty for some beer give me a shout.
My interest are poker, golf and stocks trading so would be great if you play golf, hard to find partners to play with.

Cya

He said Surfer's Paradise. That's a city in Australia.

I'll be down in New South Wales in January getting my surfing in at Bondi Beach. If you come down to Sydney or I go up, I'd be down to grab a drink.

OP said he was playing poker full-time. How the heck do you make a living at those levels, with the ridiculous rake there? (assuming it's similar rake to other state-run casinos like in Sydney, which was $1/person per hand at 10-20 fixed, $35 time charge per hour at 5-10-10 blinds NLHE, fixed buy-in 500, as of when I stayed there in Sep. '06.)

1) I think it is reasonable to assume that someone living in Surfer's Paradise playing poker full-time is not doing it live. Online is very obvious and almost certainly correct.

I don't think that playing live 5/10 limit full-time would even cover the psychiatry bills you would have.

2) The casinos, while operating under State Government-granted monopoly restrictions, are not run by the Government.

I lived in Surfers Paradise (southport to be precise) until July this year and I'm moving back in february. How long are you staying Down Under? I'm now back in Norway freezing my ass off so it'll be good comming back soon..

Do you play homegames at all in the surfers area? I used to play quite alot around the area and was a regular at the Southport Shootout tournaments, so say hi to the guys if your ever there.

If you need any contacts or anything in the surfers poker community just send me a PM or something.

And if your still in surfers in February I also play golf..

c ya,

Thomas
