4/180, bottom two in a limped pot, scary turn
I'm not worried about the shorter stack here but instead the villain who's second in chips. Now this guy is one of the worst players I've ever seen. He's called an all in overbet with 78spades on a board of 6642, 3 clubs and of course hit a 7. After min raising the flop and checking the turn, he min raised on the river with 67 of hearts on a board of K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] when the pot had over 30k chips. Knowing all this, is there anyway my two pair is any good on the turn? Is folding an option considering the stack I'd have left?

Really tough spot, but you have to fold here- too many hands out there that beat you, plus this guy could have anything based on the way he's been playing. He could have limped with 55, or KT. Either way, I think it's too big a risk to your stack to call with this.

you can't beat much, KT got there, AQ, AJ, 55 all got you beat. Bottom two is rarely good after a push on that turn card. If you fold you still have plenty of chips to work with and get your money in in a much better spot.

I dont think I am folding here. MP could easily have Axh, and you are getting quite a price. Who knows what SB has.. could be 55, could be a straight or flush draw. I think MP is reraising with a real monster after you check raise him.

You have to lead this flop. As played, I would call the turn push.

This might be closer than everybody is thinking if you include the fact that villian does this with Axh maybe Qxs as well as just Qx. Not to mention the fact that villians image is an idiot. If villian has a monster he most likely pushes on the flop. Shoving after your check on the turn sure seems fishy to me.
It's close but I call |

You really need to lead out on this flop. Call the push, pray you don't see QJ.

Why is leading flop better than ck raising flop?

Re: 4/180, bottom two in a limped pot, scary turn
The pot had 20K in it when you c/r to 22K to go, given two players 2.75-1 to call. That is way too small a raise. You have a good hand that is unlikely to improve on a drawy board, would probably just jack it all in there on the flop, or make it 30K to go and insta jam turn.
The reason you insta jam turn is because MP2 might check behind and draw free to any number of outs. As played, call. You are ahead enough that you can't pass up getting 3-1 here. Regards, Woodguy |
