200NL 6max, plan for AA?
Great 6max game. UTG pretty much always buys in for $40 so I dont have much respect for him, he doesnt play too many hands but plays them poorly, can play big pots with one pair good kicker hands, draws when he has no odds etc. Im new to table, so I have no idea how he has $400, I have 200.
Anyways... UTG minraises, two folds, I make it 16$ with red aces, he calls. Flop (35$) J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. He checks, I bet $28 he minraises me to $56. At this point I dont really know what plan to take for the hand, check call down unless it gets scary? QJ is very possible, and I think AQ is too. How many of you just kick it in there, I know its kind of weak, but min-checkraises seem to be monsters more often than not. On that subject, are there any posts people remember about min checkraises in SSNL games? There was a few a about them for the high stakes UB games but I dont remember any in here. Thanks guys. |

Re: 200NL 6max, plan for AA?
Is QJ in his min-raising range? 55? Would he minraise QQ/JJ, or would he play them less girly?
I'm leaning towards shove. Having the A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is sexy. |

Re: 200NL 6max, plan for AA?
GB,
QJ and 55 are definitely in his hand range, as he minraises many playable hands like pocket pairs and paints, I vividly remember him making AK 3x a few times and AA 4x, so QQ doesnt seem like it would be a minraise, or JJ but maybe, he's kind of weird loose passive. |

Re: 200NL 6max, plan for AA?
flop min check raises are usually one of two things IMO. FD, or top pair c/r your CB. So i call the flop and evaluate the turn. if this guy likes to play big hands with a single pair im going to let him hang himself.
Id like to see a check from him on the turn or a heart would be nice too. |
