Default river c/r bluff

I was not at the table very long before this hand and I was not involved in any notable pots. I was playing a little lag. Villain in this hand is new to me, I searched and saw him multitabling (mainly 1/2) and this table. He has been playing tight and hasn't really gotten involved in the action so far.

Try bluffing when something other than the least possible scare card hits on the river.

I doubt he has a strong hand given his line, if he did he'd prob bet the turn.

This is true. So, check-calling seems legit, no?

If he's got a worse hand then check-calling and CRAI have the same EV.

So, we are really only CRAI to gain value from Qx and JJ. But, we are risking a huge amount for such a smallish range that might call sometimes (with AQ/KQ). Not good.

This is an extremely transparent bluff. Namely you can't call his riverbet, so you check-raise. If I am villain I am calling here a LOT with Qx or better.

I doubt he's betting here with JJ btw, so you're pretty much screwed.

If you think he's bluffing, you should call. If he folded he probably had air.

If you had > 1 pair, wouldn't you do something like c/r-lead-lead, lead-lead-lead, or lead-c/r, or c/c-lead-lead, or c/c-c/r?

Your line makes no sense for > 1 pair.

if you had a set or 2pr, I would expect you to lead the river to get value out of a Q much more often than crai. I think a river all is much better than crai.
