It varies widely based on the content of your site.

Thats like asking how long a piece of string is.

You cant just assume you will make $x because you have xxxx visitors. Depends what kind of traffic you have and what your selling.

It all depends. I have a site that gets around 500 unique clicks a day that makes more than my other site that gets over 1k clicks a day.

I like the question. How about instead of an average, someone just gives an example of what one sites traffic was and how much was made for ad banners. A real site or just a realistic example.

Ok, so lets use the example of myspace.com. What would myspace.com make per one thousand unique visitors per month?

the minimum cost of advertising on myspace is 3000 dollars. Myspace isn't a pay per click...they charge by the impression(how many people see the ads) and its not like google where your advertising campaign can get away from you or you can be a victim of click fraud (don't act like you didn't know that existed). On myspace you pay a set amount for your advertising. Many sites follow this business model such as Mixunit.com, Allhiphop.com, etc. Obviously it takes time and effort to get sites like these the necessary traffic to be able to charge for banner placement but the payoff is huge.

P.S. Myspace gets 50 million hits per day and has over 120 million members.
