Default $10- 88 on button early facing MP raise

FTP $10 blinds 15/30, stacks 1500

Its too early to have any reads.

MP1 opens for 100 hero on button with 88, call or fold? At this stage i fold 88 here anywhere but on button...idk.

as played, i call. SB calls.

Flop: 522 (2 hearts)

SB leads for 200, MP1 thinks and calls, hero? easy fold?

I'd call and see a turn.

I would never call. Any heart or over card kills you. Raise big or just push. Most of the time this will be a flush/straight draw from SB and two high cards from MP1. MP1 would have raised with a high pair to block the draws

im still not sure given starting stack sizes i should have even called this PF, as I said the only reason i did was b/c i had the button.

on the flop i really think this is shove or fold. shoving over top folds out FDs, worse PPs and maybe 99-JJ. its really just not an appealing spot but there is 700 in pot.

with 88 in late position this is an easy call - if you end heads up you can play it for value if the flop-texture is good for you, if you have more callers behind you play for the set. I think you can consider playing 88 early also from earlier position - except on very aggressive tables, where 3-betting is standard.

as played here i think i'd shove the flop, you might get 99,TT from UTG to fold and SB should be behind your range here.
