Default BRAG: Successfully Rickrolled the Tropicana casino floor

I was going to let Georgia Avenue post a trip report of the whole weekend, but I figure I can handle this one.

Me, vhawk01, and GA were just returning from dinner and decided to do some gamboooling - Texas Hold'Em Bonus. It's an easy game - it's exactly like limit hold'em against a dealer, except with less monkey poo-flinging. Behind our table is a bar where there's a lounge singer doing a kind of kareoke. She's singing the hits of the 70s, 80s, and 90s - I mention just how depressing this is, because no one is paying attention to her. Either GA or vhawk wonders if we could get her to sing 'Never Gonna Give You Up' - I immediately say that I will pay $100 if this occurs. A collection is taken - each of us pays $50, and GA goes up to the singer with the request.

The song is in the machine, but the singer says she's never done it before. Suddenly, Heaven brings forth those wonderful synth chords - and it begins. Right away we lament the fact that the song isn't quite the same without a thin white guy doing a gay shimmy, but each of us attempts to do it anyway. We're cracking up and all the people at the Tropicana bar are looking at us like we're insane - we're not insane, we're just from the Internet. Regardless, for not singing it before she did a pretty damn good job, and we all give her much-deserved applause.

After the song, the singer comes over and talks to us for a little bit - she's obviously deluded and a little nutty. She confesses that she had a crush on Rick Astley, to which GA responds without missing a beat, "Well that's too bad because he is NOT a straight man."

We begin to wonder who will post it on BBV4Life.

BRAG: Rickrolled the Trop bar and casino floor
BEAT: Cost $150 to do it
VARIANCE: The bartender was not black, nor did he do a flip over the bar
