saw david robinson at the bellagio the summer after he retired. it was late at night and he was wandering around a bit, and got intrigued by the sic bo table that my wife was playing on (seems we shared the "why the f... would anyone play this crap" opinion of the game). we talked for a while-maybe 15 minutes, about hawaii (he built a house in kona and i'm from hawaii, so he was asking me about local customs and stuff) and other stuff. he finally had to go when his wife came screaming from the other side of the casino, excited because she'd hit a jackpot on a slot. she proudly displayed her two buckets full of nickles, he looked at me and kind of gave a "if it makes her happy..." look and took off to his villa or whereever he was staying.

played 200 NL with Adam Morrison, Brian Cook and some guard on the Lakers this past summer. They all sucked. But Morrison was shockingly weak tight and always seemed to want to fold. Weird for a guy who had just signed his lottery contract.
