Best way to describe Commerce. 5/10NL. Someone is EP raises to 40 4 people call and I call with KJo in the BB. Flop is K J 2 rainbow. I check, PFR bets 50 one person calls and I don't notice another player in the hand and say raise. The dealer points out that the action is not on me and the other guy proceeds to call the 50 and then fold to the raise that I have already announced when it comes back around. I love that place.

So is it pretty much agreed upon that the city of Commerce is not a very nice/safe place? Cus the Crowne Plaza is sold out so my friend and I are going to get a hotel somewhere else bu we're thinking maybe we should get one outside of Commerce and just drive in 20 min or something. WE want to be able to walk around and visit places outside of our hotel without feeling like we;re going to get mugged especially with a few grand in the pockets. I was thinking of Embassy Suites in Downey? Is that a nicer area?

Once you get to Commerce, just set up a players bank and deposit your cash at the cage. I believe you can even set it up before you arrive and wire transfer funds before you leave.

ive been considering moving to LA and living inside of the commerce hotel. i want to buy an suv with tinted windows and store all of my possessions in it. is this a reasonable, safe idea?

i havent called the commerce casino to ask them how much money it will cost me to live in the hotel monthly, does anyone have a rough estimation of how much it will be? will i have any problem getting the poker rate for every day of the month even if i only play 25/30 days at high limits?

i dont really like the idea of getting an apartment in the surrounding area because im told that if you live outside the crime riddled sections that traffic can be mindblowingly bad. i also like the idea of being able to pick up and fly to wherever i like to at any time without worrying about paying the rent of an apartment when im not there. if i live inside of the commerce hotel im likely to play many more hours than if i live nearby because its so much more convenient to just walk downstairs and be able to get in a game then to have to drive a distance.

does anyone think my plan is a good idea? any adjustments i should make or things i should know about?

thanks alot.

Adjustment #1: Your "rent" is now tax deductible as an expense. Thats why Antonius and countless bold face celebs live in hotels year round while keeping a modest home to assure compliance.

I suggest a black Escalade with 22 inch wheels, the shiner the chrome, the better. Then nobody would want to mess with it.

No and no.

You need a car, or to focus only on poker.

theres a nice hotel across from the bike and its only $69 a nite with the poker rate, its a walk across the street, and also the bikes a better place to play if u like $20-40 hilo stud that is, the drops cheaper there than commerce i think too. also 6 blocks up from the bike is a motel for $245 a week, thats not too bad. much safer than hollywood park, at least thats not the part of LA infested with blacks.
