Re: JJ is barely an overpair
Preflop is fine. But what do you think he calls with here?
lets say TT+,AQ+. Against this range you have 50% equity. But I think you will only see AcKc,AcQc take this line. Against TT+,AcKc,AcQc you have 16% equity so it's an easy fold. If you think he would 4bet KK-AA preflop, so an other possibility would be TT-QQ,AcKc,AcQc. Against this range you aren't doing a lot better: 20%. So it's still a fold. However, throwing in a hand like JT, gives your equity a boost: 43% Then it's a call (because of the dead money). |

Re: JJ is barely an overpair
I think this is a fold without a read... Villain seems fairly passive (1.3 AF) and I think you will see TT/QQ a lot here, even AA/KK if he likes to slowplay big pairs PF. I don't really think he is doing this with AT or AcKc/AcQc. I think this is a fold - but its very close as you have already invested a lot in this pot... But I just can't see anything you beat apart from the FD, which I think he is unlikely to have.
