55. you want to make sure you keep in a smaller flush draw, and you don't mind giving a pair + gs a relatively cheap card too much since if improves on a flush card he's going to have a hard time not losing some extra.

there's some merit to that but villain does not know hero, so he doesn't know how hero will play. your reasoning requires us to give villain a lot of credit for hand-reading and also assume that he believes hero to be 2+2 type instead of random fish.

I tend to play a bit of backwards poker here and bet $60 with AKss, while betting $90 with QJ and then shoving any river that doesn't complete a straight draw.
