Ipod question...

I have a 5g video ipod. A few months ago I broke the lcd and recently bought a new one off ebay and replaced it. For a few days it worked flawlessly, but I woke up the other day and now I have the white screen of death. I tried to restore the ipod and reset it about 100 times, and nothing. Anyone have experience with this??? I never dropped it or anything.
