Default Got a headace

OK, so I'm going to upgrade to some LCD monitors.

Right now I have 4 CTR monitors, and by reading the FAQ I have figured out pretty much what I want, though I am certainly a NOOB at this.

A friend of mine recently picked up a 24" widescreen ACER, and he runs that as well as a 19" Westinghouse.

I watched him play for a while, and the ACER gave me a headache after about 1/2 hour. I couldn't seem to adjust to the 'widescreen' view---it also seemed a little blurry.

The 19" was much clearer, and I liked the crispness of it, at least compared to the ACER. The 19" was not a widescreen. He was running 9 tables, no overlap on the ACER at 1600 x 1200.

I was glad I was able to watch them in action as it leads me to my questions---

I understand you get what you pay for, but what should I be looking for, for the best picture quality? Pixels per sq. inch? Is there a commonly listed spec that tells you this info?

Plus the widescreen is just a stretched out version of a 'regular' screen, or least it seems to me.

What is the advantage here? Wouldn't a regular say, 22" screen give you the same amount of space a a 24" widescreen? Is there any advantage to the widescreen?

Thanks in advance,
